Latex Gloves for regulated industries.
PharmShield latex gloves are powder-free, double-chlorinated natural-rubber gloves for pharmaceutical, laboratory and regulated manufacturing environments — examination and surgical grade, AQL 0.65, available non-sterile, ETO- or gamma-sterile, and in nitrosamine-controlled Pro grades. Need a latex-free alternative for allergy-sensitive lines? See our nitrile range. If you’re sourcing to ASTM D3578, ISO 11193 or ISO 13485, start here.
Pharmaceutical GradeWhat sets specialty-grade latex apart.
The difference between a general-purpose disposable and a glove your QA team can sign off on — measured, documented, and audit-ready.
AQL 0.65 — Pharmaceutical Grade
General-purpose latex gloves are typically sold at AQL 1.5 or higher. Every PharmShield latex glove is manufactured to AQL 0.65 with 100% individual inspection — the defect tolerance regulated facilities audit against.
Advanced Double-Chlorination
A double-chlorinated, powder-free internal surface for smooth donning and double-donning — no cornstarch powder that migrates onto product, into wounds or into cleanroom air.
Low-Protein, Reduced-Allergen
Leached, low-protein natural rubber reduces extractable latex protein — the driver of Type I latex sensitivity — while keeping the elasticity and tactile fit that make latex the benchmark for dexterity.
Batch Traceability & Audit-Ready Docs
Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis, lot identification and compliance documentation — so your QA team can trace any glove back through the production record.
Seven latex configurations, one quality standard.
From the dispenser-box workhorse to triple-vacuum cleanroom and nitrosamine-controlled grades — every latex examination glove in the range is powder-free, AQL 0.65 and batch-traceable.
Non-sterile latex dispenser box & individually packed.
Powder-free natural-rubber latex gloves for production floors, labs and food handling — in high-throughput dispenser boxes or individually packed for controlled handling.
Sterile latex gloves ETO & gamma irradiated.
Sterile latex gloves validated to SAL 10⁻⁶ and individually packed under controlled conditions — choose ETO or gamma sterilization to match your facility's validation requirements. Examination and surgical grade.
PharmShield Pro vacuum-packed, triple-vacuum & nitrosamine-controlled.
Cleanroom latex gloves for critical environments — vacuum and triple-vacuum packed for particulate control during cleanroom transfer, and nitrosamine-controlled formulations for sensitive aseptic operations.

Explorechevron_rightLatex vs nitrile — and what to do about latex allergy.
Choose natural rubber latex when elasticity, tactile fit and dexterity matter most — the benchmark for surgical and fine-handling work. Choose latex-free nitrile when you need to eliminate Type I latex-allergy risk for sensitive staff, stronger chemical splash resistance, or higher puncture resistance. Our latex gloves are powder-free and low-protein to reduce allergen exposure — but for fully latex-free lines, the nitrile range is the answer.

Latex gloves — FAQ
Straight answers on latex safety, powder-free construction, allergy and sterile options.
Yes — natural rubber latex gloves are safe and widely used in healthcare and regulated manufacturing for their exceptional elasticity, tactile sensitivity and barrier integrity. The one caveat is latex protein allergy: a minority of people develop Type I sensitivity to natural rubber proteins. PharmShield latex gloves are powder-free and low-protein to reduce that risk, but for latex-controlled facilities or allergy-sensitive staff we recommend our latex-free nitrile range. See the latex-free nitrile range →
Traditionally, latex gloves were dusted with cornstarch powder to make them easier to don. That powder can carry latex proteins into the air, irritate skin and contaminate products and wounds — which is why powdered gloves are banned for medical use in many markets. PharmShield latex gloves are powder-free, using an advanced double-chlorination process for smooth donning instead of any powder.
Natural rubber latex is derived from the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis), a renewable resource, and the raw material is more biodegradable than fully synthetic alternatives under the right conditions. Used medical gloves are still treated as clinical or controlled waste and must be disposed of accordingly — but the natural-rubber base gives latex a different sustainability profile from synthetic films.
Latex (natural rubber) offers the best elasticity and tactile fit, making it the benchmark for fine dexterity and surgical work. Nitrile (synthetic NBR) is latex-free — eliminating Type I latex-allergy risk — with stronger chemical splash resistance and higher puncture resistance. Choose latex for fit and feel; choose nitrile for allergy-sensitive teams, chemical handling or puncture-prone tasks. PharmShield offers both across the same sterility and packaging configurations.
