Latex Gloves for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
PharmShield latex gloves for pharmaceutical manufacturing are powder-free natural rubber gloves built for the contamination-controlled, dexterity-critical reality of GMP production — from non-sterile dispensing to sterile, vacuum-packed gloves for aseptic filling. Latex still offers the best tactile feedback of any glove material, which matters for fine assembly, sealing and inspection tasks. Every glove is made to AQL 0.65, double-chlorinated for clean powder-free donning, and available in sterile and nitrosamine-controlled grades. Where staff or product latex-allergy is a concern, our nitrile range is the latex-free alternative. If you're matching a glove to a pharmaceutical process, this is the starting point.
Latex · Pharmaceutical ManufacturingWhy pharmaceutical manufacturing chooses latex gloves
Latex earns its place on a pharma line through feel and fit — a second-skin barrier for the tasks where dexterity drives quality. But it has to be powder-free, sterile-capable and documented, and the allergy question has to be answered honestly. Pharmaceutical-grade latex is engineered against four concerns.
Superior tactile sensitivity
Natural rubber latex remains the benchmark for tactile feedback and elastic fit. For precision aseptic assembly, stopper placement, sealing and visual-tactile inspection, that feel translates directly into fewer handling errors.
Sterility assurance for aseptic processing
Sterile grades are ETO- or gamma-sterilised and validated to a Sterility Assurance Level of 10⁻⁶, then individually pouched — with vacuum and triple-vacuum packaging for staged, low-particulate transfer through cleanroom airlocks into Grade A/B areas.
Powder-free, low-residue donning
Powder is a contaminant and an aerosolised allergen carrier. PharmShield latex is powder-free and double-chlorinated for clean donning, reducing both particulate load and the protein-on-powder exposure route.
Allergy managed, documented
Type I latex-protein allergy is a real occupational risk. PharmShield latex is processed to control extractable protein, ships with full documentation, and where allergy must be eliminated we point you to the latex-free nitrile range instead.

Natural rubber latex offers the best tactile sensitivity and elastic fit of any glove material, which matters for precision aseptic tasks — stopper placement, sealing, fine assembly and inspection. Where that feel drives quality and latex allergy is managed, latex is often preferred over nitrile.
PharmShield latex is powder-free and processed to control extractable protein, which lowers the main exposure routes. Powder-free donning removes the aerosolised protein carrier. Where Type I latex allergy must be eliminated entirely, we supply latex-free nitrile gloves with the same sterile and cleanroom grades.
Yes. Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis, lot traceability, TDS/SDS and Declarations of Conformity against ISO 13485, ASTM D3578, ISO 11193, IS 15354 and ISO 10993 — the audit-ready documentation GMP facilities need on file.
