Nitrile Gloves for Electronics Assembly
PharmShield nitrile gloves for electronics assembly are powder-free, silicone-free, low-ionic synthetic gloves built for PCB assembly, semiconductor handling and precision-component work — where a fingerprint, a silicone trace or a static event can scrap a board. Every glove is made to AQL 0.65, double-chlorinated for low particulate and low ionic residue, and free of the silicone and powder that cause solder, coating and adhesion defects. For static-sensitive lines, our ESD-dissipative anti-static grade is the right step up. If you're specifying gloves for an electronics or cleanroom assembly line, this is the starting point.
Nitrile · Electronics AssemblyWhy electronics assembly needs specialty nitrile gloves
In electronics the glove protects the product from the operator, not the other way round. Sweat, salts, silicone and static all originate at the hand, and any of them can ruin a board long after the line. Electronics-grade nitrile is engineered against four concerns.
Zero silicone content
Silicone migration causes solder defects, conformal-coating fish-eyes and adhesion failures. PharmShield nitrile is processed silicone-free, so the glove never becomes the source of a contamination defect downstream.
Low ionic & low particulate
Ionic residue drives corrosion and dendrite growth on energised boards. Double-chlorinated, powder-free nitrile is low in ionic extractables and sheds few particulates, keeping fine-pitch assemblies clean.
Static control options
Standard nitrile is not an ESD control on its own. For static-sensitive devices, our Pro Anti-Static grade is ESD-dissipative and validated to ANSI/ESD S20.20, IEC 61340-5-1 and EN 1149-1 — note that dissipative gloves manage static, they are not electrical-shock insulation.
Barrier without bulk
Fine-pitch placement and inspection demand feel. Thin-gauge, micro-textured nitrile keeps tactile sensitivity and grip on small components while still blocking fingerprints, oils and salts.

Standard nitrile is not, on its own, an ESD control. For static-sensitive devices you need our Pro Anti-Static grade, which is ESD-dissipative and validated to ANSI/ESD S20.20, IEC 61340-5-1 and EN 1149-1. Dissipative gloves manage static charge as part of an EPA — they are not a substitute for electrical-shock insulation.
Silicone migration is a leading cause of solder defects, conformal-coating fish-eyes and adhesion failures. PharmShield nitrile is processed silicone-free, so the glove does not introduce a contaminant that surfaces as a defect later in the build.
Yes. Powder-free, low-ionic nitrile is available in sterile vacuum-packed grades suited to cleanroom electronics and semiconductor lines, where low particulate and low ionic residue protect fine-pitch and energised assemblies.
